A Comprehensive Database of Fluorescent Minerals with Spectrographic Data!

While there are many quality websites dedicated to luminescent minerals, few focus on the systematic study of these minerals for collectors. When I launched Fluomin.org in 2010, no extensive, accessible database existed. This site aims to change that: here, you’ll find a free, public database that is as complete as possible, allowing for in-depth searches based on multiple criteria.

Explore the search options available by visiting our Help page and print our dedicated guides.

For enthusiasts interested in spectroscopy, this site also offers an extensive collection of fluorescence spectra sourced from scientific literature or shared with permission from the authors, complete with bibliographic references. We extend our gratitude to Michael Gaft, who authorized us to publish many spectra, along with additional spectra produced by myself and other enthusiasts.

With over 1,000 photos and 400 spectra, there’s a wealth of information waiting for you! Enjoy exploring!

Note: While all due attention has been paid to the implementation of the database, it may contain errors and/or accidental omissions. By nature, the database will always be incomplete because science always evolves according to new analysis.
A request providing no result means only that no such reference exists in the database, but it does not mean that what you are looking for does not exist, just not to our knowledge. If you think you have found an error or omission, please let us know via the contact page being sure to cite the source of information.
