Li-analogue of pectolite and Ca analogue of tanohataite.
The mineral exhibits purplish-pink fluorescence under long-wave (365 nm) UV light. It was discovered in an aegirine-augite albitite at the eastern part of Iwagi Islet, Ehime Prefecture, Japan (also Type Locality for Katayamalite).
